About Vedant Salphale
I am a highly motivated Aerospace Engineer with a Master’s degree from IIT Kanpur. I am currently working with Airbotix Technolgy as a Senior Engineer -R&D. Here my work includes but is not limited to: Designing, CFD, Shape Optimization, Hand Calculations, FEA and coding in MATLAB.Previously, I worked as a Senior Engineer (R&D) at YPG Ride Controls, where I gained hands-on experience in advanced engineering analysis and simulation. My academic and research background is strongly focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using finite element based solvers. My master’s research explored boundary layer phenomena on rotating cricket balls and smooth spheres, contributing to a deeper understanding of low-speed flow behavior relevant to both sports engineering and aerodynamic applications. I hold a B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering and have worked on projects involving both CFD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural simulations.My technical experience includes propeller efficiency optimization, airfoil analysis, and structural assessment using FEA to evaluate material behavior under various loading conditions. In addition to my research and industry exposure, I have served as a Teaching Assistant in the Aerospace Engineering department, supporting academic activities and mentoring students.I am keen to pursue challenging opportunities in core aerospace domains such as Aerodynamics and Structures, where I can effectively apply my design expertise, simulation skills, and strong foundation in CFD and FEM.

Currently working as a CAE engineer in the R&D team of YPG smart suspension systems.My work focuses on linear and non-linear structural analysis of suspension system components, where I get to explore how these parts behave under different real-world loads and conditions. Along with simulations, I’m also actively assisting in the testing and prototyping of damper systems, which bridges the gap between design and performance validation. This blend of virtual modeling and hands-on testing has been an incredible learning curve, giving me a deeper understanding of how suspension systems are engineered for both efficiency and durability.
