About Ved Parkash Dudeja

An Infrastructure Expert and Civil Engineer with Post Graduation in Structures, having an experience of over three decades in planning, designing, monitoring and commissioning of Mega infrastructure projects of Railways and Metro Rail, in different States such as Assam, Bengal, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi etc. A 1986 batch IRSE officer with varied experience of constructing and maintaining Railway infrastructure, Metro track, bridges and structures. Having completed and commissioned over 700 kilometres of New Lines, Gauge Conversion, Doubling and Metro lines, many major/mega bridges, industrial structures and microwave towers, in the capacity of project head and key personnel over a period of about 18 years. Played key role in design and execution of some of the most challenging Railway projects such as Jammu-Udhampur Rail Link, Jogighopa Bridge across River Brahmaputra, Kishanganj-Dalkhola Doubling, Eklakhi-Balurghat New Line, New Jalpaiguri-New Bongaigaon Gauge Conversion, Rewari-Rohtak New Line, Rohtak-Jakhal Doubling, Rewari-Ringus-Phulera-Ajmer Gauge Conversion, Aligarh-Ghaziabad Third Line, Central Secretariat-Gurgaon Metro line. Over five and a half years\' experience of planning, budgeting, resource allocation and monitoring of Railway Network expansion programme over entire Indian Railways. As head of Rail Land Development Authority(RLDA), he is steering land monetisation, Colony Redevelopment and Station Development programme of Indian Railways for over four years. Finalised designs of over 70 stations and brought them to the execution stage. Major Stations like Mumbai CSMT, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Gomtinagar, Surat, Bijwasan etc. are being Redeveloped into City Centres by RLDA.

   RLDA broke all the previous records of land leasing during 2019-20 by awarding lease contracts worth Rs 1553 crores in a financial year.Steered the Station Redevelopment Program with finalising DPRs of over 70 stations and awarding of EPC contracts for many important stations like Mumbai CSMT, Surat, Lucknow, Muzaffarpur, Delhi Cantt, Nagpur, Ajni, Chandigarh, Bijwasan, Safdarjung, etc.Apart from Stations, RLDA has taken up Redevelopment of old Railway colonies in major towns like Guwahati, Secunderabad, Bhopal, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, New Jalpaiguri, Chennai, Bangaluru, Ludhiana, etc.
