As it was said by ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in the book, The Little Prince- “And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” I believe that is totally true in life and also in the world of Data Analysis and Insights.\"It is only when we truly understand and view data with our heart and life that we are able to mine the essence out of it\"Early on in my career I realized the importance of Data and how it impacts all crucial decision.I love data, a lots and lots of it, and how we can use it to make sense of the world around us in various ways.Anything from number of the visitors on a website and their trends, to the finding of Black hole, it is data that has helped us reveal a lot of information.Here is my journey so far:Software Engineer (Database Developer)-> Data Warehousing -> Data Engineering + Business intelligence -> Analytics / Data science to drive Product Delivery for financial organizations.I have more than 12 years of experience in IT that includes Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence and Analytics and Data Architect.Some of the things I have been doing over this journey are:• Design,Develop and implement large scale Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Applications.• Involved in analysis and requirements gathering, meeting with the business stakeholders and creating metrics for performance measurement. Performed data source exploration, gap analysis and feasibility studies.• Extensive Data Modeling experience in Dimensional Modeling, Star Schema/Snowflake schema design, Fact and Dimensions tables, Physical and Logical data modeling.• Design and Development of the ETL strategy from the various source systems.• Strong experience in developing OBIEE Metadata Repository - all three layers (Physical Layer, Business Model & Presentation Layer), design and implementation of the reports/dashboards and data visualizations• AGILE methodology Certified and SCRUM evangelist.• Trained End Users and Pilot Users on End Product usage.• Oracle SQL Certified Expert• Currently pursuing my Masters in Data Scinece and Machine Learning from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign(UIUC online)My Technological skills Include - Databases - Teradata/ Oracle 9+/ Sybase/ PostgreSql/ MySql, SQL server- Big Data - Hadoop 2.x- SQL-PL/SQL- Oracle forms and Report Services- Python 3.x- ETL tools - Talend/ Ab initio/ Informatica- R and d3.js- Tableau
