ABOUT VINCE CUNARD
I\'m a technology leader with proven success delivering and supporting solutions for internal and external users, including content management platforms, CRM, data analysis and reporting, and database applications. I like to focus on business process improvement and effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences. I have broad-based industry experience including Media, Telecommunications, Hospitality, and Financial Services. While my career specialties lean toward data, reporting, and collaboration platforms, I am an unabashed I.T. generalist. That means that I don’t carry any biases towards certain apps, and that I’m able to quickly learn and dive deep into the details whenever necessary.I’m intellectually curious, and not afraid to ask “why”. I’m energized when brainstorming and debating possible paths and solutions with both team members and stakeholders. My philosophy is to maximize the toolsets already in place whenever possible. Many times, users have more capability at their fingertips than they realize. When they don’t have those capabilities, I help to seek them out – either off-the-shelf or custom-built.I embrace proofs-of-concept, working models, and multiple iterations. I prefer getting stakeholder needs addressed quickly and cost-effectively, without over-engineering.My management style is to lead with positivity, humility, and a sense of humor whenever possible. My job as a manager is to communicate the vision, encourage, coach, and clear the path to let my team members’ talents shine through.I view technology as a big toolbox that helps humans do less of the boring, tedious, and time-consuming stuff, so that their talents and brainpower can focus on the stuff that technology just can’t do. If done well, technology can illuminate insights, tell meaningful stories, and help people connect. When not at work, you’ll likely find me watching, reading about, or coaching team sports – baseball and football are my favorites. I love to travel, and I’m also a pretty big movie nerd.
