1. Hardware Design and Integration Engineer

   Jun 2016 — Present

   Individual contributor who worked under minimum supervision & executed multiple projects based on priority. Developed a prototype IoT Keypad security system that has an OTA code update/report (ISR). Wrote an algorithm to prevent memory fragmentation in the FRAM of MSP430 micro. Micro would unlock an asset via transistor and relay configuration and would display commands on LCD (SPI). Designed AC voltage sensor Board (differential Op-amp) and integrated with our IoT device. Bluetooth (BLE) based PCB board and integrate it with our device to get data onto the main server. Implemented master/slave MODBUS configuration to read data remotely from engine controllers. Successfully managed to pull ECU data from vehicles (CAN) and heavy-duty trucks (J1939) with our IoT device. Implementing triangulation algorithm to locate BLE devices based on RSSI. Program Rovitracker devices using a hardware scripting language (Programmable Event generator PEG). Worked on circuit design and PCB design (Kicad) of Rovitracker interface board. Integrated different sensors with micro-controller using different communication protocols to collect data. Analyze data and implement algorithms to predict output based on the data collected. Designed circuits to remotely operate equipment based on data/scenarios using open collector outputs. Wrote an algorithm to increase battery life (40% percent) of our IOT device for longer deployment. Wrote and reviewed manuals for the projects I was involved in.
