Vasumathi is a postgraduate in Management, has completed BSc(Ag) and CAIIB, is currently working with FINSERIN, a Fintech Social Enterprise as Chief Operating Officer. Vasumathi has over twenty years of working experience in project management, microfinance, agri value chain finance, Micro, Small, Medium Enterprise and community finance, banking, financial inclusion-BC Model, training, action research, monitoring and evaluation, agribusiness and livelihood promotion services with national and international exposure. Started career as Field Executive in 1998 and served in different capacities with different group companies of BASIX and has grown to Vice President Cadre handling strategic position. Served as Branch Head, Krishna Bhima Samruddhi Local Area Bank (KBS LAB), Head Agriculture, Business and Institutional development Services, Associate Vice President Agriculture, Livestock and Enterprise Development Services at Bhartiya Samruddhi Finance Limited (BASIX), one of the largest micro finance company in India, Head Institutional Collaborations ( Projects), at BASIX Krishi Samruddhi Limited an emerging Agriculture and Livestock services company of BASIX group, during her last stint with BASIX as Vice President with Indian Grameen Services, has handled responsibilities of Micro banking business, Developmental projects with special focus in Agrivalue chains, Farmer Producer Organisations and Human Resources Development functions, before taking up the strategic role as COO with FINSERIN. ACHIEVEMENTS: Successfully launched FINSERIN business operations by establishing 3 branches employing 20 full time and 30 part time staff catering to credit needs of Women enterprises by building Banking Business model with partnership of large private sector bank within six months. Part of many innovations, Ex- Served paid extension services, Agri business services to over farmers across 15 states; Lead Business Correspondent business in IGS with KBS, RBL and Yes Banks, enabling over clients to access banking services while Banks could build over INR 400 crores business during 2012 till September 2014. Introduced Weather Index based insurance with IFC; did Action Research on Occupational Safety and Health of farming households with ILO. Added accolades Best Field Executive of the Decade in 2006, Best Team Award 2010; Chairman Award 2016 for performance excellence and contributions.
