Clinical endocrinologist caring for patients with diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and other hormonal problems. My interests include insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring, obesity management, cushing\'s syndrome, thyroid cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, endocrine imaging, acromegaly, use of medical records and large databases for clinical and epidemiological research in diabetes and thyroid cancer. I also have interest in peri operative and inpatient diabetes management.My publications, poster and oral presentations include Cushing\'s syndrome, hypercalcemia, neuroendocrine tumors, diabetes insipidus, hospitalization patterns in type 1 diabetes patient using epidemiological data, evaluation of post operative management of diabetes after cardiac surgery using insulin infusion protocols, inpatient diabetes management, continuous glucose monitoring and use of electronic medical records in diabetes research.Radiology skills include ultrasound guided thyroid nodule biopsies, interpreting thyroid ultrasounds and radio iodine uptake scans.I have worked across many electronic medical record platforms including Seimens LCR, EPIC, PACS, stentor, GE centricity and CPO, cerner, DB motion, SALAR, MARS and VA EMR.Molecular biology/ biotechnology and wet lab skills: DNA, RNA and protein extraction, designing and developing PCR primers and plasmid preparation. I am conversant with utilization of excel and sas statistical software.
