As Head of Outreach for the Astronomy Society, my core responsibilities include:Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, approach, and secure collaborations with universities, research institutes, industry sponsors, and media outlets to support our events and initiatives.Sponsor & Funding Management: Package sponsorship proposals, negotiate terms, and maintain relationships with corporate and institutional sponsors to ensure financial and in-kind support.Speaker & Guest Coordination: Invite and onboard keynote speakers, academic experts, and industry leaders; handle all logistics (invitations, travel, honoraria, and on-site requirements).

Aspiring Actuary | Mathematics Major at Ashoka University Hello! I’m Vasisht Sudharsan, currently pursuing a Mathematics major at Ashoka University, where I explore the beauty and intricacies of mathematical concepts. As an aspiring actuary, I am passionate about applying mathematical principles to analyse risk and develop innovative solutions in the finance and insurance sectors. My goal is to contribute to informed decision-making that positively impacts individuals and organizations alike.At Ashoka, I am actively involved in both the Astronomy, Mathematics Societies and Kaagazi (Origami club), where I play a key role in the outreach and events departments. These experiences have honed my organizational and communication skills, allowing me to engage with diverse audiences and promote a love for science and mathematics within the community. I believe that fostering curiosity and knowledge-sharing is essential in inspiring the next generation of thinkers.Outside of academics, I have a deep appreciation for music, which serves as my creative outlet. I’ve been learning the Tabla for the past 12 years, immersing myself in its intricate rhythms and cultural significance. Recently, I took up the flute (Bansuri), allowing me to explore a different musical dimension. Music not only enriches my life but also provides a balance to my analytical pursuits. My latest interest is in origami as it has rich mathematical application.I am excited to connect with others who share my interests in mathematics, astronomy origami, or music. Whether through collaboration on projects, sharing insights, or simply exchanging ideas.
