Provides safety consultation for small to medium sized business clients to help reduce the cost of risk. Coordinates with Risk Management, Underwriting, Sales, and Safety Services performing risk assessment and safety inspection surveys on prospective accounts prior to approval, including reviewing and evaluating a variety of industrial, contracting, retail, wholesale and other moderate to high risk business firms. Recommends hazards and exposures controls, assists with the implementation of effective safety programs and provides safety awareness training. Helps clients build safety programs to reduce the workers\' compensation risk exposure. Perform inspections of client locations to assist them in maintaining improving, and providing education in the proper safety activities for their industry and special needs including providing and showing safety films and videotapes, posters and other safety related materials. Provide consultative assistance for active clients to include workplace inspections to identify risks that may cause injuries to employees and how to mitigate these risks and industrial hygiene surveys such as noise level and air quality testing. Review workplace safety policies and procedures. Facilitate safety training classes for active client management teams. Teaches OSHA 10 hour and 30 hour courses as an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for the construction industry.
