The goal: to experience the abstract notion that people call the internet. The 2400 baud modem is making the familiar noises and he quickly covers it with a pillow so as not to wake up the rest. The account information is borrowed, voluntarily shared by multiple others. That is the way it has to be and the reason for the late hour. The Linux command-line is spitting out information. The excitement is increasing with the characters in the screen. The SLIP connection is finally complete. Now it is time to marvel at a brand new world.\" I constantly strive to work on exciting things and code deeply satisfying solutions that come close to reproducing the feeling of wonder I had as a boy, when computer science and technology reeled me in and never let go.
