About Varun Chandolia

I’ve always been drawn to how ideas travel. How the right story, told at the right time through the right medium, can spark action, shift perception, or create lasting impact. That curiosity has shaped the choices I’ve made, from working in early-stage digital content platforms to now pursuing management at IIM Indore. At Scenes, an audio-first social media startup, I onboarded over 60 content creators, helping them explore a new format and improving user engagement by organizing creator-led events. The goal was to introduce creators to a fresh branch of content and broaden their digital presence. From there, I transitioned to Cantilever Labs, where I moved into inside sales. I pitched flagship placement training programs to engineering graduates across India, strengthening my skills in outreach, lead nurturing, and understanding market fit. Later, at KSG, a prominent UPSC coaching institution, I immersed myself in content strategy, creating blogs, social media carousels, infographics, and thought-driven posts. I worked on making general studies content engaging and SEO-friendly, while also contributing to brand visibility and audience trust. Each of these roles fed into my interest in media, influence, and the intersection of storytelling and strategy. Today, at IIM Indore, that interest is layered with a formal understanding of marketing, communication, and management. As a Core Member of the institute’s official Media and PR Committee, I help manage IIM Indore’s brand voice, handling its social media communication, press outreach, and collaborations with national media houses. I also play a core role in the execution of the institute’s major finance, investment, and entrepreneurship events, including the i5 Summit, one of central India’s largest student-led startup events.

   As a Core Member of the i5 Summit at IIM Indore, I am responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling key events such as panel discussions, workshops and startup funding rounds, contributing to the overall execution of Central India’s largest entrepreneurial summit.
