About Varun Joshi
Currently, I work as an Electrical Staff Engineer providing clients a detailed understanding of Arc Flash events and its risk with the help of Arc Flash Analysis in SKM Power Tools. Previously, completed my Masters Degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology majoring in Electrical Engineering. As a Graduate student I learnt skills in Analog and digital system design and Schematic circuit design. When I’m not on the job, I love hiking and playing cricket.

Experienced working on Arc flash simulations to model and predict the behavior of electrical arcs in various systems. Used these simulations to provide a detailed understanding of arc flash events to the customers, which can be catastrophic and pose serious risks to personnel, equipment, and the surrounding environment.• Good exposure of running Electrical simulations on SKM tool for Engineering Analysis, System Modeling, Short Circuit Analysis, Arc Flash Analysis, Load Flow Analysis, Protective Device Coordination.• Recorded the findings of the arc flash analysis, including incident energy calculations used to establish the requirement for PPE kits.• Conducted checks for client facility evaluating electrical workspace clearance in compliance with NEC code standards and reported observations.• Collaborated on protection and control design projects, which included panel layouts, single- and three-line schematics, AC diagrams, DC element diagrams, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring.
