ABOUT VARUNI MAHESHWARI
I’m Varuni Maheshwari, a trainee counseling psychologist and MSc Counselling Psychology student (final year) at Christ University, Delhi NCR, with hands on experience in rehabilitation setting, school counselling and child and adolescent mental-health support. My approach to counselling is rooted in empathy and lived experience, psychology has never been just an academic discipline for me but an emotion I have personally experienced, which is why I aim to create a space where individuals feel safe, understood and supported. I am also an artist, and it has taught me that every person experiences the world in a completely individual way, no two lives unfold the same and no two emotions take the same form, which is why every story deserves to be held with sensitivity, creativity and respect for its uniqueness. Going forward, I wish to explore geriatric counselling, corporate wellness counselling, grief counselling and career counselling for adolescents, because every stage of life carries silent emotions that deserve to be heard. I believe that if I can make even one person feel okay on a day they thought they couldn’t, then the work I do has purpose.
