About Varun Agrawal
Varun completed his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University in May 2020 and Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, in June 2018. He is currently working voluntarily as a Graduate Research Student under Prof. Dhruv Bhate and continuing his research on the Honeycomb cell analysis.He has an entry-level industrial experience while working as->> Production and Quality Assurance Intern at Minda SAI Limited where he worked towards the quality inspection and in-house quality audits to improve the productivity of wiring harness. He implemented the knowledge of ISO 9001 and lean tools such as Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and 5S methodology.>> Trainee in the Mechanical Department of Bharat Oman Refineries Limited where he accessed the overhauling of a pump and grasped the knowledge of troubleshooting pump issues along with the working of various machine tools.He worked closely with the senior managers and hence, has good exposure to industrial problems and problem-solving. He has involved in a variety of projects that includes the concepts of design, finite element analysis, design of experiments, data/statistical analysis, parametric analysis, regression, reliability analysis, and optimization. He was also part of the vehicle manufacturing competitions during his undergrad. All this work had a significant amalgamation of theoretical, research, and practical knowledge. He improved his skills in CAD, FEA, vehicle assembling, teamwork & management, and also worked on the formation, understanding, and execution of project plans.He is a Six Sigma Green Belt from the Management and Strategy Insitute and has a good knowledge of various statistical concepts and tools, required to accomplish a project.He is disciplined, passionate about his work, hard-working, and is good at working with teams to get work done.
