   Lead the overall finance function, managing a team of 7 and reporting directly to the Director – Finance- Coordinate internal, statutory, donor (including CSR), FCRA, and income tax (Form 10B) audits by preparing data, resolving queries, and passing necessary rectification entries to ensure timely completion- Finalize books of accounts and prepare financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations including ICAI Accounting Standards, FCRA, and Maharashtra Public Trust Act (MPT Act)- Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns including Income Tax Return, Tax Audit Report (Form 10B), CSR Form 10BD, FCRA FC-4, TDS returns, and GST filings (GSTR-1, 3B, and 9)- Conduct internal audits at branch and field offices, including financial and programmatic reviews, staff training, site visits, audit reporting, and follow-up on discrepancies- Supervise monthly, semi-annual, and annual closing of accounts by reviewing accounting entries, reconciliations, and expense allocations; approve adjustments and ensure timely closures- Manage treasury functions including cash flow, liquidity planning, banking operations, and investment of surplus funds- Oversee preparation of annual budgets, monitor expenditure against budgets, and provide variance analysis and budget vs. actual reports to project teams- Maintain and periodically update the fixed asset register, conduct physical verification, and resolve discrepancies to ensure proper accounting and reporting- Contribute to the development of WWF India’s Finance and Operations Manual; provide inputs on processes; review and finalize for management approval-Prepare and present Monthly Information Reports (MIRs) for senior leadership to support strategic decision-making-Core team member for implementing IT-based solutions in donor management, project tracking, and expense automation; contribute to system design, testing, and rollout.
