About Varun Kumar
I am an Engineering Leader, having around 17 years of experience in software industry across Start-up, Product and Services companies.I have extensive experience in Telecom,Cloud and Virtualization and Agritech domains. I currently am Director of Engineering, with an Agritech startup CropIn. I lead a Team of Engineering Managers, Architects and engineers. I am accountable for on time design, development, testing and deployment of all AI/ML products of organization. I am also owner of the Platform, which hosts scalable and reliable data engineering pipelines and highly performant sync and async APIs. In my prior experience I have worked with VMware, where I lead teams which were responsible for developing cloud for internal consumption. My team was also responsible for developing cloud native apps to improve engineering productivity. These projects have saved multi million USD and man hours for VMware. I have also spent significant time with Telecom Giants Ericsson and Nokia ( my client at my stint with Wipro), Playing multiple roles such as Software developer, Architect and Pre-sales engineer for European region.
