About Varshinee Sreekanth

I\'m currently a software engineer at Stripe, working on the Liquidity Management Engineering team within the Money Movement and Storage org to safeguard Stripe\'s merchants\' funds across the world. In my career pursuits, my goal is to combine technical skills with a creative and ethical approach to offer a more balanced perspective to real-world problem-solving.I graduated with my Bachelor\'s and Master\'s at the University of Texas at Austin in 2023, having done the Integrated 5-year BS/MS program in Computer Science. While in college, I interned at Stripe, Meta, and The Home Depot.Academically, my research focus has generally been on machine learning and ethical AI. As a research assistant for the Dell Medical School and the School of Information at UT, I built two web apps to detect dementia, and worked on building explainable AI solutions to combat homelessness in Austin.Outside of my job, I am a burgeoning graphic designer and web designer, comfortable with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as React.js, Javascript, and HTML/CSS. I can generally be found designing web tools to better play D&D, coding websites, or drawing.Overall, I’m striving to constantly improve and evolve in any conceivable manner, starting with meeting the people who can help me do so and whom I can help in return.
