Passionate Microbiology Postgraduate | Research Enthusiast | As a MSc Microbiology graduate, I have developed a strong foundation in microbiological principles, with hands-on experience in various laboratory techniques. During my internship at the College of Fisheries, Mangalore, I worked in the food processing department, gaining practical skills in the development of value-added marine products.My key project involved the formulation of shrimp pickle using Penaeus indicus, where I conducted comprehensive biochemical and microbial quality assessments, along with storage studies, to ensure product safety and shelf-life stability. I performed tests such as Total Volatile Base Nitrogen (TVBN), Trimethylamine Nitrogen (TMN), peroxide values, and free fatty acids, gaining expertise in monitoring spoilage indicators.In addition to project work, I have developed strong academic skills in bacterial culturing, isolation, and identification, as well as other microbial techniques such as staining, serial dilutions, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. My experience includes working with microbial cultures, conducting biochemical tests, and ensuring proper aseptic techniques in a laboratory setting.These experiences have fueled my passion for applying microbiology to food safety, quality assurance, innovation and many more. I am eager to leverage my knowledge and skills in dynamic research or industry roles.
