About Varish Mulwad
I am a Senior Scientist at GE Aerospace Research. I obtained my PhD and Masters in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County working under the guidance of Prof. Tim Finin.My work has broadly focused on developing novel algorithms and production-ready solutions in the areas of information extraction and knowledge graph population from semi-structured and unstructured text. My research interests lie at the intersection of Knowledge Graphs, Natural Language Processing and applied Machine Learning. My work has spanned across the spectrum of technology readiness level research programs, including deployed applications and across different domains including Aerospace, Gas Power, Healthcare, and programs funded by US govt. agencies such as DARPA and IARPA.
