ABOUT VANSHIKA SAIKIA
I am a recent MSc Business Psychology graduate from the University of Manchester, passionate about understanding people at work and shaping positive, high-performing workplace cultures.I am currently working as an Associate in the People & Culture team at Ciena, after previously contributing as a Summer Student. In my current role, I support global HR operations across regions, focusing on employee experience, benefits administration, and process excellence. During my summer role, I worked on improving performance management and goal-setting systems through primary research for company-wide implementation. My passion for employee wellbeing began during my time as an Assistant Manager – Corporate Social Responsibility at Hindustan Zinc, where I co-led the company’s flagship education program Shiksha Sambal, enhancing conceptual learning for over students across 66 government schools. With a background that also includes a Master’s in Social Work and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, I’m deeply motivated to bridge psychology and business and helping organisations build workplaces where people thrive, grow, and feel valued.
