As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at DrKumo Inc, I lead security strategy for a connected health platform operating at the intersection of digital health, cloud computing, and emerging AI-enabled systems. My work centers on building secure-by-design, automation-driven, and compliance-ready architectures that protect patient data while enabling innovation in remote patient monitoring.My background spans secure system architecture, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), and enterprise security engineering in highly regulated environments. I have guided organizations through the adoption of NIST frameworks and full Authority to Operate (ATO) processes across FedRAMP and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure-as-code, continuous control validation, and audit-ready automation.I am particularly focused on the security implications of AI, autonomous systems, and advanced automation from governing AI agents and model supply chains, to embedding security controls, observability, and guardrails directly into platforms at runtime. The future of cybersecurity lies in measurable trust, where risk is continuously assessed, controls are enforced programmatically, and security evidence is produced by design rather than by exception.At my core, I am driven by aligning cybersecurity with business velocity and clinical impact.
