About Vania Workman von Ussar
Psychology and Anthropology undergraduate at Vassar College with a research focus in clinical psychology and global mental health. My primary research work is at The New School under the instruction of Dr. Adam Brown @ Center for Global Mental Health. I contribute to trials assessing the effectiveness of scalable mental health interventions in NYC and beyond, assisting in data collection, analysis, write-up, and publication.I also work as an undergraduate research assistant across multiple psychology labs at Vassar, conducting human-subjects research in both personality psychology and clinical psychology, where I assist with data collection, analysis, paper writing, and experimental design. I am CITI-certified and have anthropological ethnographic experience through ethnographic research trips to Korea in 2024 and 2025. My undergraduate Senior thesis will engage with the work done during these ethnographies. I am interested in psychopathology interventions, clinical research, non-specialist interventions, and other global mental health research. If you are interested in clinical or global mental health psychology, mental health advocacy, and the future of psychological research, I’d love to connect, collaborate, and learn from like-minded professionals.
