I am driven by a deep interest in how financial information shapes real decisions, real outcomes, and real organisations. Studying BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University has solidified that passion, earning a First Class in Year 1 and pushing me to explore the discipline far beyond the classroom. I’m particularly excited about financial reporting, analysis, and the broader mechanics of how businesses create value through sound financial strategy.My academic commitment naturally extends into the roles I take on. As a Course Representative, FFA Buddy, and Student Ambassador, I engage daily with financial concepts, explaining them, applying them, and helping others understand them. Mentoring Level 4 students in accounting principles reinforces my own mastery and fuels my appreciation for the structure, precision, and analytical depth of the field.This enthusiasm also shapes the opportunities I pursue. Being chosen for the PwC Mentoring Scheme gives me direct exposure to audit methodologies, financial advisory thinking, and the professional standards that define top-tier accounting firms. Even roles outside the formal finance space, such as managing daily cash operations at The Grove Café, strengthen my practical understanding of accuracy, control, and financial responsibility.My earlier achievements in national business competitions reflect the same foundation: analysing numbers, extracting insights, and turning them into actionable decisions. Those experiences sparked my initial interest in finance; university has transformed that spark into a clear long-term ambition.I’m building a career anchored in accounting and finance, not because it aligns with my skill set, but because I genuinely enjoy the discipline, its logic, its relevance, and its ability to influence meaningful business outcomes. Every role I take on, every project I lead, and every opportunity I pursue is designed to deepen that expertise and prepare me for a future in the profession.
