Hello Everyone,My name is Vanessa Lopez, and I am deeply passionate about youth mental health and dedicated to making a positive impact on the well-being of young people. I aim to pursue a career as a child psychologist and am eager to intern with organizations focused on youth mental health to gain practical experience and deepen my understanding.    As part of the NAMI Next Gen NYS cohort, I work alongside 11 other individuals from across New York State supporting the development of youth-centered mental health initiatives by offering insight, feedback, and lived-experience perspectives that strengthen NAMI NYS programs. I collaborate with fellow advisory members to ensure that content, resources, and outreach efforts reflect the diverse needs of young adults across New York State. She also contributes to creating innovative, inclusive strategies that expand accessibility and uplift historically overlooked youth communities. Through ongoing participation in planning, reviewing, and refining youth-focused materials and campaigns, I assist in helping to guide organizational priorities, amplify emerging mental health trends, and build stronger connections between NAMI NYS and young adult communities.
