About Vanessa Weathers

Vanessa Weathers is a lifelong community organizer, stay-at-home mom, and certified spiritual health coach devoted to the well-being and liberation of Black people. Her journey began at just 9 years old, organizing her classmates around an anti-drug movement, and has grown into a lifelong commitment to fostering collective care and solidarity.In August 2020, Vanessa founded the Black Womxn in New Hampshire Social Club, creating a space for Black women, femmes, and nonbinary individuals to connect and thrive. In November 2022, she expanded this work by establishing the BWINH Collective, a nonprofit organization focused on dismantling systemic barriers, fostering solidarity, and creating sustainable opportunities for Black people in New Hampshire and beyond.As a neurodivergent individual, Vanessa brings a unique perspective to her work. She draws on over 20 years of corporate experience to advocate for equitable systems and sustainable practices. As a certified spiritual health coach, she utilizes energy therapy, meditation, and reiki to guide individuals toward spiritual and emotional well-being. Her work reflects a deep commitment to preserving Black culture, reconnecting with ancestral practices, and building community in unexpected places.

   Established in November 2022, the BWINH Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit that is engaged in leading a range of initiatives aimed at alleviating the harsh effects of racism, sexism, and gender discrimination, with a specific emphasis on the Black community in New Hampshire and neighboring states. In our pursuit of this goal, we are dedicated to showcasing the rich cultural diversity amongst the local Black community. Simultaneously, we endeavor to convey the message that New Hampshire is a welcoming andsafe state for the Black community. We desire to collaborate closely with local community organizations and leaders to achieve these goals.The main initiative of BWINH Inc. is to raise awareness about the Black Womxn In New Hampshire Social Club. Our aim is to ensure that every Black womxn (women, femmes, and nonbinary people) in New England is aware that there is a community that stands ready to uplift and support them. Furthermore, we are dedicated to securing the necessary funds and resources to establish a physical location for our social club so we can create even more opportunities for our Socialites to connect with one another.
