ABOUT VANESSA MAANAO-FRENCH
I am the Director of Training at Cultivate Learning, where I lead the design and delivery of evidence‑based professional development that supports high‑quality early learning and home visiting. I bring 26 years of experience in Head Start, including 12 years of direct service within Head Start programs, with roles that span preschool teaching, education management, training leadership, training and technical assistance (TTA) coordination, and community engagement.Most recently, I served as Senior Director of Resource Development and Innovation with the National Center on Early Childhood Development, Teaching, and Learning (NCECDTL). In that role, I led a national team of content specialists to design and deliver virtual and in‑person professional development at the regional and national levels. I oversaw the development of resources for HeadStart.gov and supported ongoing professional learning and implementation across the Regional TTA System.Earlier in my career, I spent ten years with Puget Sound Educational Service District, including serving as Community Learning Director at Educare of Seattle. Across my work, I focus on strengthening systems, building educator capacity, and creating practical, accessible professional learning that supports joyful and responsive teaching and leadership.I hold a Master of Education from Seattle University and a Master of Social Work Administration from the University of Washington.
