ABOUT VANESSA H.
Hi! I\'m Vanessa, a social psychologist and behavioural researcher based out of the Policy Institute at King’s College London. I predominantly work on trials applying behavioural science to pressing social issues, including the evaluation of several cash transfer interventions for care leavers and people (at risk of) experiencing homelessness, the use of light touch social prescribing to combat the well-being loss associated with the cost of living crisis; testing the impact of light touch feedback on educational aspiration and progression for students in sixth form colleges; and investigating how providing young people with information about income-contingent bursaries encourages them to pursue different educational routes. I\'m most passionate about making society more equitable and safe for all, which includes research on social cohesion and measurements of intolerance as well as the rigorous testing of interventions that may bridge the gap. I previously worked at the World Bank’s Mind, Behaviour and Development Unit, Innovation for Poverty Action, and the Behavioural Insights Team, and hold a masters in Psychology of Economic Life from the London School of Economics. Looking forward to connecting!
