About Vanessa Cruz
My name is Vanessa Cruz and I am a senior double-majoring in Finance and Real Estate at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University with an expected graduation date of May 2026. I joined the Commercial Real Estate Group (CREG) at Georgia State University in Fall 2022, initially driven by curiosity and a desire to learn more about the commercial real estate industry. What started as an interest quickly turned into a passion, thanks to the community, mentorship, and hands-on experiences the organization provided.After spending a year as a general member, I joined the Execution Committee in Spring 2024, where I helped support weekly meetings and club operations. In Fall 2024, I served as the Director of Community Events, organizing professional and team-building initiatives to strengthen member engagement.In Spring 2025, I took on the role of Director, where I contributed to the organization’s growth and strategic direction while playing a creative role in developing marketing materials that supported engagement and increased visibility. Now, in Fall 2025, I am proud to serve as a Partner, continuing to mentor new members and lead initiatives that support our mission of career development and industry exposure in commercial real estate.During my free time, I enjoy traveling, attending concerts, listening to music, reading books, watching soccer games, and following Formula 1.As I approach graduation in May 2026, I’m seeking full-time opportunities where I can apply my commercial real estate and finance experience in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
