About Vanessa Tao
Hey! I\'m Vanessa, a sophomore at Brown University interested in politics, economics, law, and international relations. My academic pursuits and career aspirations sit somewhere between consulting, policy, and law-a lot of words to say I\'m interested in creating impact.I\'m involved in various organizations, from fundraising for housing justice to working with small businesses to design CRM systems and many more, which have provided me valuable experiences within the fields of policy, education, mental health, consulting, and law. Within my community, I serve as a youth board member for a range of non-profit organizations and corporations. Beyond my professional pursuits, I\'m also interested in a variety of hobbies. From exploring and rating boba stores across the city (an activity that drains both my wallet and the gas in my car) to my love for weightlifting, reading, film, and traveling, I love embracing life\'s diverse experiences. Spending time with my friends, whether it\'s adventuring in the Rocky Mountains or exploring the dynamic cities of Denver and Providence, allows me to connect with people from all walks of life and gain unique perspectives.My enthusiasm and commitment to expanding my critical thinking skills, global awareness, and experiential learning extends from civic engagement to economic consulting.
