ABOUT VANESSA SCHWEIZER
Vanessa Schweizer is an associate professor for the Program in Knowledge Integration at the University of Waterloo in Canada. She has also been a Director of the Waterloo Institute for Complexity & Innovation (http://wici.ca). Her teaching and research focuses on interdisciplinary scholarship around knowledge synthesis and design thinking. Prior to joining Waterloo, Dr. Schweizer was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (USA), where she researched novel methods for systematically constructing long-term socioeconomic scenarios for climate change research. Previously, she was a Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Fellow at The National Academies (USA). She worked with the Human Dimensions of Global Change Committee (now the Board on Environmental Change and Society) for the panel on Public Participation in Environmental Assessment and Decision Making. Specialties: Scenario analysis, climate science and policy, cross-impact balance analysis, survey design and analysis, multi-criteria decision making
