About Vanessa Jaimes

Vanessa Jaimes is a Trust Solutions Director within PwC’s Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) practice, serving clients primarily in the United States, but also globally, on complex and emerging accounting and business issues impacting the AWM industry. Vanessa is currently serving a two-year tour in PwC\'s National Office as a consultant for AWM clients. She is involved in real-time discussions with the SEC’s Division of Investment Management and the AICPA Expert Panel for Investment Companies (EP) regarding emerging AWM topics. Vanessa provides the AWM industry insights on recent SEC review comments and shares her knowledge of SEC proposed and final rules impacting the AWM industry. She is a featured speaker in various client presentations, as well as internal PwC AWM industry and technical webcasts. Prior to her two-year tour with PwC’s National Office, Vanessa was the lead Director on various high-profile and key audit engagements, including a national priority client account. The leadership, relationships, innovation, commitment and dedication Vanessa brings has consistently contributed toward PwC delivering quality service to clients, including significant impact and value. Vanessa has authored and/or contributed to a number of impactful external publications that have been valuable for practitioners, auditors and other stakeholders. The most recent external publications include the following- Current Developments for Mutual Funds - 2023 Winter Edition - PwC Financial Statement Presentation Guide, PwC Fair Value Guide, and PwC Loans and Investments Guide - 20••••23 - Six AICPA Investment Companies Expert Panel meeting minutes from May 2022 - March 2023 In addition to client roles, Vanessa has served in various PwC purpose and inclusion roles throughout her career. From 2017 to 2020, she was the co-leader for PwC’s Central Market Latino Inclusion Network (LIN), leading LIN to high membership engagement and quality programming, aimed at advancing the development of our Hispanic/Latinx professionals. As the current adviser for PwC’s Central Market LIN, she is actively engaged in local events and programming, and provides real-time coaching to the current leaders. Vanessa currently serves as a co-leader in PwC’s National Membership Pillar. Her impact to PwC’s Hispanic/Latinx community has been, and continues to be, serving as a mentor, coach, and role model for PwC’s less tenured Hispanic/Latinx professionals. Lastly, Vanessa was PwC’s 2017 nominee for the Illinois Emerging Women to Watch award issued by the Illinois CPA Society.
