About Vanessa Duncan
It\'s been over a year since I started with Special Olympics Illinois as the Area 9 Director, and I love working for and with the Special Olympics athletes! By providing quality athletic training and competition in a variety of sports, Special Olympics Illinois staff and dedicated volunteers have the opportunity to improve the well-being, health, socialization, and quality of life of Special Olympics athletes. In turn, the athletes provide Special Olympics staff and volunteers with life-changing experiences, ones that teach perseverance in the face of disability, courage in adversity, pride in achievement, and love for one another, even a competitor. We can all learn something valuable by participating in Special Olympics!
