About Vanesa Dzevdetbegovic

Vanesa Dzevdetbegovic completed her Bachelor of Architecture at UC Berkeley, with a concentration on the Social and Cultural Basis of Architectural Design, Design Theory and Criticism, and Activism and Ethics in Architectural Design. Through her practice at IA Interior Architects as a Workplace Strategist and Lead Designer, she worked on large-scale workplace projects for prominent technology companies including Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprises and several co-working spaces for Industrious. With a decade of experience, her professional skill set encompasses all aspects of leading projects from early visioning and strategy through completion. More recently, she worked with Kinzo Architekten in Berlin as a Consulting Director of Workplace Strategy in which she facilitated the development of the Workplace Strategy department. Her freelance experience has evolved since then toward Brand Development and Business Strategy and Planning with e-commerce start-ups. Her passion for Activism and Ethics in Architectural Design were expressed in her mobilization of a one hundred person volunteer effort to build micro-homes for San Francisco\'s homeless that received media coverage from MSNBC, Fox News, and The Guardian. Her interests extend to behavioral psychology, mentoring and leadership, wellness, and Permaculture Design. Passionate to understand the human connection to nature, she went on to obtain a Permaculture Certification accredited by the UK Permaculture Association. Vanesa uses a systemic approach when analyzing the interconnected network of macro environmental factors- social, political, economic, and technological climates to offer strategic recommendations and design solutions uniquely tailored to clients.
