ABOUT CHRIS KEMP

I am an author, multiple-patent holder, and leader, who speaks both business and technology fluently. I was the founder and Senior Director of the Emerging Technologies team at Salesforce, a North America-wide team of Architects and Futurists who are subject matter experts in Machine Learning (image recognition, natural language processing, and voice recognition), Blockchain, and Data Architecture. Our teams helped customers understand and realize value with new technologies, develop and execute go to market plans in lock-step with our Product teams, and create organization-wide scale with other Sales Engineers through enablement programs and mentoring.My love for technology started when I was 10 and started hacking my family\'s Tandy TRS-80. Since then, I\'ve run my own successful IT consulting business, Vandelay Enterprises, growing the company from nothing to a viable and sustainable company and helped a high-growth SaaS start-up support over 100K users and secure two rounds of venture capital funding. I started my career at Salesforce as a Sales Engineer and was promoted quickly, four times in three years, to the highest possible title as an individual contributor: Master Enterprise Architect. I was awarded a highly-coveted spot in the Peak Performers Club in Hawaii four times in six years. I was then promoted to a management role, winning an AMER Enterprise Top SE Manager award in my first year after starting the Emerging Technologies team.I am a co-author of \"Professional Heroku Programming\" published by the world’s biggest technology publisher, Wiley, and have had seven patents awarded related to inventions I have made at Salesforce (see http://bit.ly/ckpatents). As a result of this, I have been invited to the Inventor\'s Dinner, for employees who create innovations and IP that are strategically important to the company.
