ABOUT VANDANA SHARMA

I am a qualified lawyer with over 15 years of total experience in legal domain which includes commercial contracting. I joined KPMG in 2017 as one of the founding members of the KPMG UK Legal team in India. Currently, I lead 2 geographies (UK and US) with 23 lawyers. My role involves drafting and negotiation of complex commercial contracts. Also, the profile also requires to form and manage a pool of experienced lawyers that provides required legal support on commercial contracts. Responsible for shortlisting suitable candidates and taking their interviews, providing relevant training to new joiners, getting on regular calls with onshore legal team, setting up a process for smooth delivery of quality work products (including reviewing, drafting, redlining and negotiating commercial contracts), managing the legal team in India. Also, oversee team operations, staffing, execution, quality control and stakeholder management. Professional and industry experience:Have experience in similar role with previous organization i.e. EY, wherein I was involved in handling end to end support to EY’s Global legal team based in London, US legal team based at several locations in the US and UK legal team based in London on variety of procurement contracts e.g. MSAs, Services Agreements, Technology Agreements, Meeting & Events Agreements, Sponsorship Agreements etc. At EY, I was responsible for working on the complex contract requests, reviewing of other team members’ work products for quality assurance, internal and external stake holder management, providing monthly reports to the relevant onshore legal team and several internal teams, recruitment, learning and development and performance management.
