Oversee all Itron R&D lab areas globally for Itron to ensure standards are being followed and work with engineers to modify their setups to be in accordance with the standards.Ensure audits occur, are documented, and any action items are closed. Communicate with all itron site safety leads to help themIdentify potential safety hazards and risks for lab operations at the site (involving as appropriate other lab owners/designees)Collaborate to identify, develop and implement safety risk control measures.Ensure safety policies, standards, and programs are implemented, and documented. Facilitate effective management of the Lab Safety ProgramsCoordinate training and ensure train records are up to date for all lab authorized employees. This includes maintaining the electronic access records.Oversee the planning and timely implementation of any safety project developed by site HSE & S and/or other professional safety resourcesConduct joint audits and ensure that the Corrective and Preventive Actions are completed in a timely manner.Communicate as needed with all other lab owners on critical labs’ safety issues at the sites.
