Currently working on the electromagnetic design and simulation of BLDC motors for home appliances and automotive applications. Conducted finite element simulations using ANSYS Maxwell and MotorCAD.Key projects -1.Design of a 12-Slot, 10-Pole BLDC-innerrotor Motor: Designed and simulated an inner rotor BLDC motor for air cooler applications using Ansys MotorCAD,targeting automotive usage. Motor Topology: 12-slot, 10-pole spoke-type rotor with Y34 ferrite magnets and M800-50A steellaminations. Design Inputs: Rated torque 0.58 N-m, voltage 310 V DC, speed 1400 RPM, output power 85 W,current 0.6 A. Simulations: Magnetic flux linkage, core and eddy current losses, cogging torque, torque rippleminimization, efficiency optimization, transient back-EMF validation. Result: Achieved 81% efficiency at rated load; no-load speed 3098 RPM; torque output 0.588N-m.2.SMC-Based OuterRunner BLDC Motorfor Drone Application: Designed and simulated a lightweight, high-efficiency outer rotor BLDC motor for drone propulsionusing both conventional laminated steel and Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC) materials. Conducted multi-stage electromagnetic and thermal simulations using Ansys MotorCAD for initialgeometry tuning, and Ansys Maxwell for detailed FEA-based validation. Simulated performance across four magnetic materials: N20 (0.2mm laminated steel), N10 (0.1mm),Hiperco 50 (high-permeability alloy), and SMC-based Hoganas 700HR 5P. Motor Design: 18-slot, 24-pole spoke-type outer rotor with N48H magnets, 0.5mm airgap, andoptimized copper winding (SWG 25, 0.4032 fill factor). Analyzed core and copper losses, cogging torque, torque ripple, and back-EMF under all four materials to identify performance variations. Achieved peak torque of 0.145Nm, no-load speed of 8024RPM, and a system efficiency of 90.8% with SMC-based Hoganas material.
