As a Senior UX Designer within Royal London’s Digital Office, I lead the design of innovative digital experiences, including end-to-end user journeys that drive user satisfaction and business goals. A particular highlight of my role has been chosen to participate in an industry-first collaboration with Microsoft to design and deliver a novel app for presenting GenAI-generated outputs, supporting the summarisation of medical reports for underwriting new protection business. I took ownership of connecting the AI model\'s agentic output to the needs of underwriters and the wider operation, working directly with SMEs, developers, and Microsoft partners to deliver intuitive solutions for a complex, emerging use case. As part of this project, I have run discovery research, mapped the end-to-end underwriter journey, identified pain points and opportunities, and designed a tool that can be easily incorporated into the current underwriting workflow.Beyond project delivery, I support Design Leadership by shaping our team’s strategy and ways of working within the new Digital Office. I collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to create pitches to win and develop new strategic partnerships, influencing the company\'s digital direction.Additionally, I\'ve delivered talks on Inclusive Design, championed the adoption of GenAI tools across the Design team, and helped develop our internal playbook and Design Framework.In addition to my design work, I am passionate about mentoring and talent development. I actively mentor junior designers and career changers, dedicating time to help them refine their skills, build strong portfolios, and develop stakeholder management capabilities. My commitment to mentoring has contributed to the growth and confidence of many new entrants to the field.
