Catalyst Fund is an impact VC fund + accelerator investing in startups building tech for a climate-resilient future in Africa. As the lead designer with Catalyst Fund, I operate in two main segments - Venture Building and Internal Ops. Some of key milestones from work:1. Venture Building - Worked with Medikea, a B2C telemedicine health platform in Tanzania, to help create a more meaningful and focused user journey for their doctor consultation feature. Helped conduct heuristic evaluations, prototyping, and journey mapping- Worked on a complete rebrand for a major cold-chain solution based in Kenya. Together with the marketing team we conucted brand assessment, created brand positioning examples and developed refreshed logos with two major visual directions for them- Designed a creative campaign with the marketing team for a biosecurity solutions company based in South Africa, to help promote their security certification to MSMEs - Conducted heuristic evaluations of a waste management platform in Nigeria, to help their team understand how they can improve their interface designs- Helped a Nigerian crop storage and management platform with storytelling on their pitch deck for sharing with investors.2. Internal Ops - Designed the state of climate impact review reports for 2024 and 2025 for Catalyst Fund. The report introduces the fund and goes into detail about the current investments in the companies, and key data from the previous investment year- Managing external contractors and budgets for outsourced design work- Managing the brand guideline and imagery on collaterals across Catalyst Fund.
