About Valerie Hawthorne
Going from the labratory bench to non-profit mission advancement seems like a bizarre twist for a career path. However, it is the discipline of science, and the knowledge of what nutrition means to the body, that allows me to work the problem right in front of our eyes each day. How can a country with more food than it knows what to do with, have a hunger problem? It all comes down to access. We must work together, partner together, and build strength together to combat this unacceptable daily issue.
