Saipem, a company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, is one of the world leaders the oil & gas services industry, providing the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of pipelines and complex industrial projects onshore and offshore, as well as onshore and offshore drilling, with a workforce headcount of over encompassing 120 nationalities.The Finance department (with around 60 professionals based part in San Donato Milanese and part in Amsterdam) is in charge of (i) ensuring the availability of adequate and cost-effective financing from the bank and the capital markets,(ii) financial planning and financial risk management (including exchange rate risk and credit risk),(iv) group cash pooling,(v) treasury management and (vi) management of any extra-ordinary financial transaction.The main transactions completed in the period 20••••18 include a capital increase of Saipem for EUR 3.5 bn, the acquisition of the credit ratings from S&P and Moody’s, the structuring of syndicated credit facilities for a total of EUR 4.7 bn, the issuance of notes for a total of EUR 2.0 bn under a newly established EMTN Programme and the transfer from ENI to Saipem of a portfolio of exchange rate derivatives with a notional value of over EUR 5.0 bn.
