I find cross-cultural collaboration to be incredibly rewarding.Currently, I am a Faculty Associate and Research Scientist at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. In my role, I focus on research that sits in the intersection of agriculture and human health, with a broader interest in planetary health and human well being. I lead projects linking agricultural management to soil health and well-being, combating food waste, and innovating to enhance food security. I am also investigating the use of edible insects as an alternative protein source, evaluating the social, environmental, and health implications of insect agriculture. I am a successful grant writer ($1.2+ million raised), convener, and project manager, with success liaising across industry, government, community groups, and academia around the globe. As an educator, I have taught numerous courses undergraduate and graduate students in environmental and global health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I mentor students and try to help them engage in applied, real-world projects.
