ABOUT VALERIE PIGATT

Successful Financial executive with 20 years experience in Financial Services Industry. I have over 13 years of Nonprofit Management.I am a Certified Public Accountant, MBA. I have worked for a variety of types of firms, including, public and private, global and domestic structures, government, not for profit and corporate, and broker dealer operations.I am currently responsible for the overall financial operations for Gilda’s Club of South Florida. I look forward to bringing my experience and doing my part in assisting the agency fulfill its mission - the creation of a welcoming community of free support for everyone living with cancer along with their families and friends.Gilda\'s Club South Florida along with our committed partners provide a welcoming community of FREE support for men, women, teens and children living with cancer, their families and friends. Gilda’s Club is named in honor of comedian Gilda Radner – one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live and creator of memorable characters like Roseanne Rosannadanna, Baba Wawa, and Emily Litella. Gilda was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1985 and passed away in 1989 at the age of 42. The mission of Gilda’s Club is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. We believe that when cancer happens, it happens to the whole family and their surrounding community. Therefore, our Clubhouse and our programs are available for anyone touched by cancer as well as their caregivers, families, and friends.
