About Valerie Lycas
I am a driven, results-oriented, high-energy problem solver. I’m an engineering graduate of Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) who further continued my education to become a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified SAFe® Agilist, and certified SAFe® Lean Portfolio Management.I’ve had the privilege to work in various positions over the last 10+ years in various parts of the organization including operations, research and development, product development, project management, and most recently program management. I’ve gained experience from both a manufacturing company and a software development company. Companies have problems to solve every day, and in order to solve the problem, you have to understand the problem. Sometimes to understand the problem you have to consider impacts to other areas of the business; the various roles I’ve gotten the opportunity to learn and grow in give me a unique and cross-functional perspective that help me solve problems across the business, for the business.
