ABOUT VALERIE GRAMOND
Currently at the head of WWF France’s Conservation Direction, I have been working on environmental issues for over 20 years now. Starting as an environmental economist, my professional career, in both public and private sector, was forged around my ambition to participate to a both positive and pragmatic ecological transition, by developing innovative solutions with all stakeholders. I am convinced that the ecological transition is the driving force to better standards of living, for job creations, business competitiveness, and the creation of new ways to produce and consume- A career path full of enriching and broad experiences and opportunities, in public local institutions (National Assembly, ministers offices, environmental department at la Ville de Paris, NGOs) and European institutions (Directorate-General for Environment at the European Commission, and in the private sector (BASF)- Enthusiastic manager, with a managerial experience of up to 120 people (at the Ville de Paris)- A both positive and pragmatic vision of environmental issues. My aim is to propose the most realistic path for the ecological transition, while also taking in account the complexity of decision making on this matter- A systemic view of the whole spectrum of actors involved in this change of paradigm and its influence on business models
