Warranties are a sales gimmicks. Yes, I say this as a salesperson. The marketing/advertising people have insisted that you \'need\' them and give you all kinds of \'reasons\' why. And, we, the consumers have blindly believed them. If the item is of \'responsible\' quality, a warranty shouldn\'t even be necessary. I\'m saying all this as a personal consumer, not as a Penny Mustard salesperson.
