About Valerie Alonso
I’m a first-generation American and the first college graduate in my family. Over the past 9 years, I’ve built my career in engineering and product bringing complex, technical products from concept through industrialization and into production, and partnering across teams to solve hard problems with structure and speed.I started at Michelin in Ardmore, Oklahoma, where I tackled quality challenges and helped eliminate safety-critical issues through a systematic, data-driven approach. After relocating to Greenville, South Carolina, I supported the integration of Hubbell Lighting into Current Lighting and strengthened my ability to align engineering, operations, and commercial teams.Today, I’m a Product Manager leading an Architectural Outdoor portfolio across the U.S, Canada, and LATAM with end-to-end ownership from launch through obsolescence. I specialize in lifecycle decisions, cross-functional execution, and using data to improve cost, quality, reliability, and the customer experience.

My role encompasses strategic planning and execution throughout the entire product lifecycle, from new product introduction to obsolescence, primarily for the US and Canadian markets, while supporting Latin American commercial teams. I develop and implement multi-generational product plans, provide training and technical support to sales and marketing teams, and lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance to drive product success.
