ABOUT VALERY BOGDANOVA

I am a multilingual student from Belarus, currently studying for a degree in Business and Finance at Oxford Brookes University, where my results so far suggest I will secure First Class Honours. During my studies, I have gained a broad understanding of the financial services sector, especially investment banking. Additionally, I am continuing to add to my insight on the global financial markets and the broader macro factors that influence them. This knowledge complements the strong numerical and analytical skills developed during my earlier education in Belarus and my International Foundation Diploma, where I achieved an A+ grade. I have acquired valuable hands-on experience through part-time work with Lloyds Bank in Oxford, which has given me the opportunity to use my interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills in a real-life scenario.Technologically adept, with a passion for numbers and a genuine interest in commerce and industry, Financial Services has always been my chosen career path. As a team player, who has played competitive sports to national level, I am goal-orientated and enjoy performing in pressurised situations. I am seeking the chance to start my career with an internship in the Financial Services sector, working with highly motivated people who are also determined to achieve corporate and personal objectives. I am due to complete my industrial placement between 2023 and 2024 so I am also seeking a placement opportunity to develop my skills and experience for the longer term.
