   Spring 2024-Fall 2024-Spring 2025-Fall 2025As a Graduate Assistant at the Winthrop Region Small Business Development Center (SBDC), I support entrepreneurs and small business owners across the Rock Hill and greater Charlotte Metro area by providing high-impact consulting, marketing strategy, and operational support.In this role, I collaborate with consultants and student interns to help clients develop marketing plans, strengthen their digital presence, and prepare for launch and growth. I’ve contributed to website development projects, created branding assets using platforms like Canva and Looka, and helped organize strategic content for new businesses—from subscription models to social media rollouts. I often serve as a creative lead on marketing teams, offering input on logo design, brand tone, and storytelling direction.Internally, I help manage and mentor new interns, assist with onboarding processes, and lead leadership development initiatives. I helped design surveys to assess team traits and strengths, facilitated intern orientations, and use project management tools like Asana to coordinate team workflows and deadlines.This assistantship allows me to blend my background in finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship, while also enhancing my real-world business experience. From leading brainstorming sessions to supporting pitch presentations and workshops, I thrive in environments where I can learn, contribute, and uplift others.My experience at the SBDC has deepened my understanding of small business ecosystems—and ignited my passion for supporting founders who want to make meaningful impact in their communities.
