Axelyf ehf is an exciting biotech with Icelandic DNA and roots in the US. Funded by fantastic scientists and entrepreneurs, the company focus on innovative strategies to tackle autoimmunity and inflammation. As CSO, I have been leading early evaluation medicine criteria efforts, including target ID and validation, preclinical risk & gap analysis, development of regulatory roadmap and clinical development for LNP-based RNA drug candidates (autoimmunity, haematology) and small molecule prodrugs (immune-inflammation; HIV). Designing of IND-enabling and regulatory packages for a small molecule prodrug lead compound based on natural molecules. Partnering out-licensing opportunities in LNP-based nucleic acids candidates (large pharma and SMEs). Establishing a network of commercial partners to implement program development through the HREC Australia model, including KOLs, scientific advisors, regulatory consultants, CROs, cGMP CMDOs and clinical providers.
